Car Wraps & How Legos May Transition Into Art

By Robert Sutter

It's clear that many people view the building of Lego blocks as something of a pastime. It's one of the more common hobbies for children to get involved in but it seems like there is a subsection of adults, highly involved in this particular medium. If you did not believe that there could be such variety when it comes to Legos, I'd like to think that there are many other aspects to make note of. In fact, here is a particular story that specialists of car wraps will be able to tell you about.

According to an article on Adweek, Marco Sodano has been able to create some of the most impressive models with Lego blocks. For those who do not know, Sodano is an Italian designer, working as an art director for the agency Geometry Global, which is located in Hong Kong. In any event, Sodano was able to use these playthings as an almost entirely separate medium for the purposes of art. However, his own creations aren't the only factor he has brought his attention to.

The goal of Sodano's Lego-focused works was to bring, "...the belief that every child with Lego can become a great artist," which is an understandably tremendous endeavor. It's also quite fitting, given the fact that Lego blocks are very much designed for children. They may be able to see the kinds of works that Sodano was able to present and believe that they have the potential to reach that level. The truth of the matter is that, with the right amount of effort, they can.

One can also make the argument that this is an ideal form of advertisement for Lego and creators of car wraps will be able to agree. Companies along the lines of JMR Graphics can attest to the fact that advertising can come in a number of different forms, ranging from traditional physical media to the more modern digital aspects. I feel as though Lego has been able to play to the former, incorporating said physical items in order to create items that can attract the attention of anyone.

It's clear that Lego blocks are viewed as tools for hobbyists and I do not think that anyone can say differently. With time, I'm sure that these particular blocks will be able to help others when it comes to art and how these skills can be built. This is especially true for children, which means that there are many other benefits tied to Lego blocks than previously noted. If nothing else, a story like this can only help Lego's reputation in the long term.
