Things That Can Cause Dents In Your Car

By Paul Edwards

Regardless of how cautious you are with your driving and the amount of maintenance you invested in your model, there will be times when bumps and other situations can leave dents and other marks. Many of which actually happen a lot more often than you think. To start, here are some causes of bumps you need to know before calling for an expert in San Ramon dent repair.

One is extreme weather conditions. Certain events like hurricanes, hail, and heavy snow can add pressure to the exterior of your vehicle which eventually leads to bumps and dents. In order prevent damage it helps to park your unit in a sheltered space or a garage for safekeeping. If not possible, try to park in an area that have less chances of debris falling.

Another is doors bumping against each other. People who are parked in cramped spaces like full parking lots and narrow streets can lead to problems that can cause users to damage their car and the units of others. For instance, a driver who is looking to get out of his car may bump his door against another user who is also hoping to get out at the same time.

Next are sport accidents. Kids and adults alike who are engaged in recreational activities like baseball, football, and basketball may lose control of their balls and bats. This leads to certain equipment bouncing off the surface and crashing against the exterior of various automobiles that may be parked nearby. Sometimes it can even affect your windshields if they are not cautious.

Next are recreational sports. Certain sports that utilize strong and sturdy equipment can cause accidents especially if persons have yet to master their aim or lose their grip on their bats during games. This of course leads to random balls pouncing off pavements which can leave a mark on your exterior if you do not catch it in time.

One other factor to also consider are shopping trolleys. People who have purchased a load of groceries and items will need to use a trolley to bring it to their vehicle. Unfortunately, improper use of the equipment can cause it to slip from your fingers, eventually skidding down the concrete until it crashes into your vehicle.

Another instance that is caused by trolleys is that one forgets to return them. Sometimes users who are in a hurry tend to use these units, bring it to the lot, transfer their goods inside their vehicles and leave the trolley behind. This of course can cause a collision if they accidentally backed their cars against it while moving in reverse.

Lastly, is a collision with another vehicle. Unlike a trolley which can be pushed aside before you can drive, a slight bump against another vehicle can almost guarantee an immediate bump since they are heavier and have more strength in causing damage. Regardless of who is the driver, one cannot deny that instances like these would leave obvious marks.

With these reasons in mind, one can see why it is important to have car insurance. While certain companies may not be able to cover minor incidents, it does help to have extra funds in case you ever need to do immediate repairs. Otherwise, minor bumps can lead to major marks that can affect the safety for drivers.
